Mala quickly rose to fame, working with some of Spain's most famous hip-hop music producers and generated a lot of admiration for her socially considerate lyrics and strong femininity. "La Mala" moved to Madrid when her music career seemed to be taking off. Her first album was called "Lujo Iberico" and was released back in 2000. She remains a potent rapper and thoughtful lyricist.
