Description
The Barcelona Acció Musical (BAM) 2009 from the 23rd to the 26th of September. Typically over 50 local and international alternative acts perform. Like previous editions the concerts are for free. To the usual venues Plaça del Rei, Placa Reial, Rambla Raval and Parc del Fòrum we can add this year new places for BAM: Teatre Grec, Fabra i Coats and Castell de Montjuïc.
Bands confirmed are pretty interesting. In the international line up, the Swedish The Hives, New York city natives The Felice Brothers, and The Duke & The King. Also the hot act of the year, Brooklyn band Dirty Projectors.
Pioneer Chinese rock & roll artist, the Bob Dylan of China, Cui Jian, will be presenting in Barcelona, he's selling super selling hits back in China. We will see how it does here.
DJ Shantel will make us dance with bacalao dance style and Jamaican musician Terry Lynn will spread much more than reggae.
From the local Catalan area, the promising band Inspira and the well known Manel make an appearance. From Spanish you'll find bands like Pájaro Sunrise and Cat People.
Other confirmed bands are Billie The Vision & The Dancers, Rock de Souk, Estanislau Verdet, La Kinky Beat, El Petit de Cal Eril and Calima.
