Description:
Apolo is one of the core concert-going venues in Barcelona. The complex contains two separate venues (see also "Apolo 2" on this site), which have a multitude of names according to the time of the day, the day of the week and their mood. Apolo is the principle venue and is an old style theatre with a lot of charm; old chandeliers, old-time vibe, you almost expect to watch pre-gig entertainment provided by the old folks doing the waltz. It's hosted everyone from The Streets to David Holmes to Kila, you name it. The venue has recently opened a new venue, of the same name, in Andorra; we presume they are sharing artists between the two locations to cut overall costs, and raise per-artist profit. Be aware of Petit Apolo Bar, next door, which overprice their serve-your-own-beer service.Location: Nou de la Rambla, 113, Sants-Montjuïc, Barcelona 08004

The band members of Kitty, Daisy and Lewis are: Kitty, Daisy, Lewis, Graeme and Ingrid. It started out as just Kitty, Daisy and Lewis performing with various guitar players providing a rhythm. After a while, we felt that it most worked playing with our dad (Graeme) on acoustic guitar and then later our mum (Ingrid) on double bass. We were then introduced to Eddie 'Tan Tan' Thornton later on, who plays trumpet with us sometimes.
