Description:
Hands-down, probably the finest little venue in the city. Authentic, genuine, reeking in old-world feel. If you want to catch a comedic gig, or see a musician perform acoustically up-close, this is the place to see it. Lovely venue, great feel to it. Dates back eons. A little on the tricky side to find, and we'd recommend you go there without conspicuous bags and fancy garb, because it can be a touch dodgy (but that doesn't mean unsafe, and certainly shouldn't stop you from venturing here).Location: C/ Riereta, 7, Ciutat Vella, Barcelona 08001
Phone: 933299009
Public Transport: <M> Sant Antoni; Bicing: 148
This venue also known as: Llantiol

Danny Lobell is straight out of that New York Jewish Stand Up comedy scene that since Lenny Bruce busted through the taboos and left a legacy that has produced the some of the world´s comedy greats like Woody Allen and George Carlin. It’s a scene that still thrives throughout the city´s comedy clubs and Danny Lobell is at the very core of it. This show is aptly called simply New York, New York! Established as one of the most important names in comedy radio in the US for his award winning Danny Lobell Show and his wildly popular radio show on Comical Radio which is currently one of the most downloaded podcasts on iTunes in the USA. He actually spent a large part of his childhood in Scotland and in the last 2 years has begun to establish himself there amongst the notoriously demanding Scottish crowd. He has just come from Glasgow comedy festival where his show received rave reviews. Incredibly well travelled he has performed all over the world and is renowned for his awareness of where exactly he is playing, check out the clip below from a gig in Cape Town.
