Constructed in 1928, you can literally feel the history oozing out of the walls of this place. Some of the staff look like they've been here since then, but we say that in the most positive of ways: it gives a genuine authenticity to a place when you have to regulate your pace to the top-speed of an aging attendant while he shows you to your seat. Speaking of seats, it's an all-seater venue, with some black-spots, as we found at a recent gig there when we ended-up behind a vertical post, which was holding up a balcony. That said, it's a genuine spot, one of the few old and still-operating theatre-like venues in the city of Barcelona. The booker seems to be quite savvy, selecting quality acts, usually from indie or alternative bands.
