A Japanese family moves to a house in the country. The two daughters, Satsuki and Mei, meet a magical creature called Totoro in the nearby forest, befriending him. Whilst their mother is in hospital, their father encourages their imagination with his stories about magic, fairies, ghosts and the spirits that protect the home. One day, a telegram arrives for Satsuki...

Palosanto is an unusual, multi-talented group that play their own songs and original arrangements. Taking their influences from Old and New Cuban Trova, they serve up their political engaged lyrics accompanied by son, bolero and rumba rhythms.

 

José Luis, the local undertaker, is in love with Carmen, daughter of Amadeu. Caught in flagrante, the couple are obliged to marry. However, Amadeu is short of funds, and he persuades José Luis to apply for the post of executioner, which he is about to vacate, effectively inheriting his new father-in-law’s profession. Convinced that he will never have to actually execute anyone, José Luis agrees. One day, the dreaded telegram arrives: he José Luis is summoned to execute a condemned prisoner in Majorca.

 

The finest Barcelona bluesmen have passed through this band since it was first founded in 2003. The band performs a varied repertoire that includes both classics and original songs, generating very much their own style, one based around the unmistakable sound of the slide guitar.
