Casa Elizalde is a classically built building, home of bourgeois family Elizalde, that dedicate themselves to the making of cars and engines for aviation purposes. In 1964, the family sold their palace and the building started to deteriorate. In 1978, the Town Hall bought it and converted it into a Civic Centre for the Eixample district of Barcelona. Nowadays we can find all types of cultural activities, with a full agenda of concerts, exhibitions, courses, workshops, theatrical performances, dance and children activities.
