At the end of La Ramblas of Barcelona, close to the Christopher Columbus monument, and alongside the prominent and beautiful building of the Port Authority we find Portal de la Pau square. It is a very touristic spot with nice views of the old port of Barcelona and is the location where the historical boats "Las Golondrinas" launch. In this square Catalans receive "The Three Wise Men" around Christmas time, and also host the most emblematic activities during La Mercè, the local party of Barcelona.
