Description:
Razzmatazz is one of Barcelona's primary live music venues, dangerously close to holding a monopoly on events in the city. Largely a converted factory space, it has 3,700 square metres of space across five venues of differing capacities. Interpol, I Am Kloot and Sufjan Stevens have all played here, amongst thousands of other bands over the years. The venue is also affiliated with various festivals, such as Wintercase and Summercase. Quality events are run weekly, often starting around midnight, and going on 'til the early hours of the morning. Drinks are pricey for Barcelona, so try grab a can or two outside on the street from the street vendors before you go in, though you won't be able to bring it in with you. Implementation of a smoking ban in the smaller venues, like the Pop Bar, would be welcome - we remember a recent Lykke Li gig where it was impossible to breathe. Razz 1 is the main room, accessible on Almogavers street, Razz 2 and 3 (small the higher their numbers get) are accessible around the corner on Pamplona street.Location: C/ Almogavers, 122, Sant Martí, Barcelona 08018

Port O'Brien began as the bedroom recording project of Van Pierszalowski and Cambria Goodwin. As the songs grew legs and spread among friends, live performances became inevitable. Sprouting from the isolated coastal village of Cambria, California (yes, her namesake) the band collected kindred spirits along the way and has blossomed into a full band.
