The Red Rocket Bar was set-up in 2008 in the most unlikely, difficult to find, downright dodgy and dirty street in Barcelona (and there are a few), but it seems SO right. The product of boredom, they say, with the established rock bars in Barcelona, and the frustration of working for neurotic bosses and pessimistic people, led the people behind this bar to set-up. The bar offers authentic rock sessions, in an authentic environment. When there's no live tune, there's Nirvana on the speakers. The ambition: live gigs at full volume. Of course, that'll never happen with neighbours in Barcelona being so itsy as they are - but one can try. Highly recommended wee spot.Location: C/ Codols, 21, Ciutat Vella, Barcelona 08002
