Teatre Borràs opened its doors as a cinema in 1931 and was known as "Cine Urquinaona". In the 30s, 40s and 50s it occasionally showed some theatrical plays. In 1943 it became known as Cine Borràs, as an homage to actor Enric Borràs. In 1953 the theatrical company Balañà took over the theatre and reformed it, with it reopening in 1966 with "My Fair Lady". In 1995 it becomes Teatre Borràs, a fully dedicated theatre. The venue has a capacity for 740 people and it tends to focus heavily on comedy and theatrical comedy.Location: Pl.
