Description:
In 1866 the monk Lluís Cantarell, rector of Horta, proposed to a young group that they create a Catholic centre, using as an example an existing one in Gràcia (see Teatre Lluïsos de Gràcia). The idea was a success and soon after theatre performances started and became very popular. Nowadays the Centre Parroquial d'Horta is like a civic centre, with children's activities, sports and excursions. The theatre has capacity for 405 people (280 seated and 115 in an amphitheatre) and it holds music events on occasion.Location: Carrer Feliu i Codina, 7, Horta-Guinardó, Barcelona 08031
