With the arrival of democracy in Badalona in 1970, the people wanted to recover the old Teatro Zorrilla, opened in 1868. The theatre accommodates all the artistic events of the city of Badalona and is also a place where people gather to celebrate important community events. In their programme you can find theatre, music and dance. Teatro Zorrilla also organises music festivals like "Cicle de Músiques Blues & Ritmes" and is a host venue of "Festival Internacional Filmets" (International Short Movie Festival)
